Dupe Guru Music is excellent , it even works on network drives although the trash feature doesnt work , you have to select the move options , the 'delta' feature makes deleting it so safe .

Working fine with 10.6.6. Might be nice to see some itunes integration but it's nice as it is, lean and mean, does what it says. Can't beat the price!

I switched to OS 10.5.8 and see this app still seems to work great (well, I can't test it thoroughly, due to the fact that there are no more duplicates in my computer, thanks to older versions! ;-D). Great localization! (except maybe "track mortes", but I can't see a real french equivalent to "dead tracks", maybe "morceaux manquants"? The Fairware system is a great invention, I also like your advice "This site is best viewed with Opera while listening to The White Stripes"... :-D

Crashes immediately with 10.6.6

totally useless! doesn't allow you yo add ANY folder under the directory button when you click add! whether you click add itunes directory or add your own directory,after you browse to the folder you want and click add,nothing happens or is displayed as a folder to scan. when you click scan again nothing happens. major bug!

Though the interface is discutable (no drag and drop to select folders, for instance), this is to my knowledge, THE ONLY APP that does what it does: - find duplicates by audio content (even if the tags or names are different) - not only iTunes libs I had various folders of music scattered on various disks, with tags changed through different versions of iTunes, so the other apps would all tell me they were different, but DGME found out which were the ones to trash. Thanks a lot! :-)

I'm thrilled this is available, I've been using dupe guru on a sizeable database for years, On (gasp) a pc... and to find this here? It's downloading as we speak... it works amazingly well, though the older version had to be checked manually to make sure you weren't deleting same song, diff albums (i.e. compilations, best ofs, etc)... any difference here? Also, what IS it with the mac, and itunes downloading the song up to 6 times??? hmmm can't wait to get my 160gb cleaned up, my 80 gb was stolen. have all the music on a backup drive, or my macbook pro, and it's dogging along with over 120gb on here, no room for photos or art! lol Feedback, please? I downloaded and used the demo copy to remove duplicate files from my computer and like the post below was very pleased with how it performed. Good interface, easy to use and very fast. I'd downloaded a number of other 'duplicate finding' apps and this one outperforms them all. Keep up the good work.

A very quick and powerful tool for identifying duplicate songs in your iTunes library. The feature set and interface is generally very good, although I found it rather annoying to need to check the box next to so many duplicates. Surely there is a better way? Generally excellent, however...
