I had used a previous version and loved it. I purchased the new version, have sent numerous emails to the developer and have yet to receive anything back. I suppose I am waiting for a serial # or something, so far I am very disappointed.

I was satisfied with the very first one i tried, the one that worked on mac os x 9.4.3 i think it was. THEN it stopped working, i deleted it to download and install it again because no matter what i did it would not work. I couldn't find that old one anymore and found the newer demo version.

It doesn't work on my old mac so i waited till i got my macbook pro and tried it. IT DIDN'T WORK, it kept saying... i can't find the old message because now all i get is "You've already used this demo five times please consider buying it for $4.99."

the message i WAS getting was something about there being a communication error, and to try again later.... so i tried again later AND GOT THE SAME THING. So apparently after TRYING to get it to work after five times it assumed it did work and now wants me to buy it.

Bullshit you guys fix this before i wast money on this, i was perfectly happy with the other one, why can't i find the old one, i'll BUY that one, AT LEAST IT WORKED!

ps, i'm not normally an angry person, but after trying to get it to work then having it tell me it HAS been working and that i need to buy it now.... you can see where i'd grow frustrated with this product.

This program is great, it doesn't do so much, its easy of use, adds to iTunes, its a bit ugly with old style brushed metal. But even then, I liked PodTube 1.0 more and I stick with this one.
    Why?

    It was free!

And just because its not free anymore, I use alternative programs.

Dear developers, why do you want us to pay for such a small program, its not worth $5, instead of that, you had to just ask for donations(I'd love to give a bit money), but don't forbid us to download if we don't donate.
    I mean, even
    Please consider!

for one simple reason, bud. nobody donates.

for example... we built a little widget (flappie) that received over 300,000 downloads. it was featured on apple's site for three weeks. it was in their top ten for two and a half months. it's *still* in active use by over 30,000 people (on this very day.) by all measures, it was a smashing success.

can you guess how many kind souls made donations since it was released ~3 months ago?

    12. that's right, 12... and bless every one of them for it, but you simply cannot live on that.

Puts the encoded video in the trash and then adds it to iTunes. WTF?

the first time I tried this it worked flawlessly: downloaded the utibe video, encoded, and put it in itunes....however, now it downloads, encodes, and then I get an error message saying I already downloaded the file and it doesn't put in iTunes...altho I can open and play with VLC, the ITunes capability was key

Same problem here with the encoding cycle (Panther 10.3.9). Still, it's nice to have the .flv file anyway, seeing as you can view it in VLC. Good enough for me!

I hate to say this, but, I downloaded and tried it and it just hangs up on the 'encoding' cycle.

Worked great here... can we see a version that works with FireFox? Safari isn't my first choice of browser. Still a great program. Many thanks.

Even though this app is compiled as a Universal Binary, it does not work properly on a MacIntel machine. The .flv file gets downloaded, but is never converted to anything. I tried running under Rosetta...No Joy.

Great idea - but not working. I get the following error:

"THere has been an error communicating with the videodownloader.net website.

Please quit PodTube and try again later."

I have been getting this message for the last several hours.
