This app has good intentions. But rather than having something running in the background using system resources every single minute, a better option is Safari Enhancer which allows you to just turn off the cache permanently.

Works well on my MacBook Air. Does not work at all on my iMac. Both with latest Intel core2duo and Mac OS 10.6.3).

Well, if you visit a website for a minute and are using back/forward and stuff like that it might be useful to keep some stuff cached, for a minute..

We completely agree...sometimes a cache is useful. So, if you want to keep your cache, you absolutely should. However, we've often receive support calls each week that are Safari-Cache-related. So, we wrote this up. We're looking at making it a Safari Preference in future release, but then again, so is Apple....and we're not sure the virtue of competing with them! If you have any additional thoughts, feel free to share them with us! We're always listening! Thanks, SISU Works

Although some programs allow you to permanently disable Safari's Cache, they can also become problematic. Some custom web apps have issues when Safari's cache is disabled.... Quite Frankly, the resources this runtime agent takes are pretty minimal..on average it takes less than 0.01% of the CPU, takes less than 400k (that's right "K") of memory, and runs in only a single thread. It runs as a launchd argument, so its resource drain is extremely slim, even on older systems, such as beige G3 towers... Thanks, SISU Works
