Open Fire is a game of high-energy destruction and freewheeling military carnage.
What is there for a lone man in a tower, armed only with his trusty rocket launcher, unlimited ammo, and cunning wits, to do with an endless stream of lemming-like tanks and army jeeps? Blow them up for fun, perhaps?! Featuring seamless, integrated real-time global online scoring, a holy-crap-that-was-a-big-explosion-o-meter, and awesome arcade gameplay backed by the incredibly realistic Ageia physics engine, Open Fire shoves you into the shoes of a lone operative armed to the teeth with explosive rocket rounds.

Lots of people have been hacking the score server to make it impossible to beat them. Heh, since there's no way to beat them, I ended up cheating to get 1044000 points.
Very buggy. Crashes on my machine about every 3rd or 4th use. Audio often stutters during high-load situations where lots of missiles and explosions are going off. No ability to keep personal high scores, no ability to turn off timed game and play a damage-based game. No ability to change graphics settings once you choose the "don't show at startup option" (or if there is, it's hard to find). In short, the Widget is more fun for occasional use than the actual stand alone app. But it has promise. Hopefully they'll make it more flexible and stable in the near future.
This has got to be a tech demo. Otherwise, this thing can't even remotely touch a retro game in similar vein.
At least we can look forward to some decent-looking, better-performing games based upon the Unity engine in the future.
