Various desktop web search applications are currently available to Mac users; unfortunately none seem to compare in any way to Charlotte This new desktop web searching tool that has wittingly adapted Apple's Spotlight interface is of A+ use and ease of use! I had a few simple yet powerful suggestions that I immediately emailed to the developer; I received a response in 24-hours, that is service and dedication. I do hope to watch this program grow and become #1 in its' class.

How is this different to Sherlock (which I stopped using when I realised Google gave me all the hits I needed)?

Yes, Google does find most of the relevant results. With Charlotte we like to do two things. 1. Provide a better/innovate interface to search results. Right now the results interface is quite similar to other search engines. 2. Include best of class sites/plugins in each category. For example Technorati has better blog search, YouTube has more Videos etc. The next update will have support for Google Web, News and Blog search.

Yeah it works fine. But how do I remove it if I decide I don't want to use it anymore?

Hit Command (Apple Key) and Return to see the Charlotte search bar, click the seach Icon at the left of the search field. This will pop a contextual menu. You can select multiple options from here including quitting the application.
