I downloaded and launched the app under Mac OS X 10.3.9. It does start. But when I click File - New, nothing happens. I don't believe it requires Tiger to create an account.

excellent simple finance software. a missing feature that I consider essential is, for the date format to match the settings in system preferences. good clean layout in metal I currently use ibank to track 4 rental properties. ibank is excellent but contains lots of features I will never use & cost $40. i like software that does exactly what i need it to - nothing more, nothing less. this falls into that category. Include the above feature and I'II switch! (and make a small donation) I can't see a way to contact the developer either through this app or on their website - hope the dev reads this. another good simple finance app is cashbox.

I could be wrong, but as he is claiming it only works with 10.4 Tiger, I wouldn't be surprised to hear he is using Core Data or similar libraries for some functionality. That could mean you could not create an account, as the library used to save the data would simply not be in the operating system. I don't have any problems creating accounts on 10.4.
