Worked perfectly for me! One thing to try if it doesn't seem to be de-sticking the pixel is poke at the screen a little bit while the widget is running over the dead pixel. That un-stuck the pixel for me.

Please be aware that if you leave this widget activated in your dashboard, even when the dashboard is not displayed, the widget is apparently running, and will prevent your screen from sleeping or staying asleep! Removing the widget from your dashboard fixes this problem.

I recently spent a few days figuring this out! It would be really nice if the developer would make the widget sleep whenever dashboard is not active!

Very nice widget, but it couldn't fix my magenta colored pixel, which never disappears. Even after using the widget multiple times for more than 10 Minutes my magenta colored pixel is still there.

It does as it claims. I had a hot green pixel on my 2 day old iMac. I installed this widget, let it run for 3 minutes on the hot pixel and, presto, back to normal. Works fine with 10.5.

I am the developer of this widget. Currently, I am in the process of completely redoing my site, Widgetaria, and will be adding full support to all of my widgets.

The 220% percent is a typo, it should have been 20%, but I didn't notice it until I had already submitted it. Sorry for that.

Also, there is a difference in stuck pixels and dead pixels. With stuck pixels, they are normally temporary, but can last for years. This widget is made to speed up this process and hopefully cure stuck pixels. Results vary greatly, from a few seconds to overnight.

If your display came with them, they are most likely DEAD pixels, which cannot be fixed.

If they randomly occured, then this widget can and probably will help.

In total, I have been informed of 193 pixels fixed in about two months, and I get more emails every day.

I really hope this answers any questions!

This seems to conflict with the Maintenance widget.

It wasn't a major problem, but I noticed a few lazy pixels on my new LG Flatron monitor. I thought I was going to have to live with it, but when I read about Pixel Fix in MacUpdate, I thought I'd download and try it.

Pixel Fix is an excellent dashboard utility which within seconds, fixed my monitor.

Afer downloading and installing Pixel Fix onto your Mac, all you do is move the coloured square with your mouse over the area where your lazy pixels are, and leave to run. Hey presto, a few seconds later, its fixed.

One very minor comment would be that even though its fairly obvious how to use Pixel Fix, a read me guide might prove useful for inexperienced Mac users.

Thanks so much Widgetaria, for fixing my screen.

Well, it didn't work for my dead pixels - but maybe there's more than one category of dead pixels...
