SortImagesGUI is a little java program which helps you sorting your digital still images. It reads the exif header of jpeg files an copies the image to a destination folder where hierarchical directory tree is created similar to the date based folder structure of iPhoto.
Additionally an MD5-Sum is calculated on every picture and stored in a database (mySQL). So SortImagesGUI can recognize already sorted images and prevent duplicates. Database mode is optional.
Ignores the special MacOS Finder meta files which may also have a .jpg ending.
A database dump is written to the destination directory to make backup easier.
