Among those similar alternatives I've tried so far, this really is the best choice! Thank you very much, Mr or Mrs Developer.

Very cool. Now I can easily add ad hoc, arbitrary metadata to any file in a whimsical manner and use Spotlight to search for my deranged tags. This is how indexing and searching is supposed to work. Assuming the final price is reasonable I would pay for this tool.

But I won't be surprised if Apple "invents" this sort of functionality for Leopard.

Checking the developer's website I see SpotMeta is GPL'd, so I guess we don't have to worry about the cost of the final release. It just gets better.

Oh boy... Holy my...!!!

I am definitely going to buy this software when it gets buyable.

It's genius. Pure genius. If was the developer, I'd consider selling this to Apple, very very expensively, instead of risking them to just rip it off and make it 'their own', in their next OS release. Because this really is THE natural next step for Spotlight in the future.

So far, no other Spotlight tagging software has made me this excited.

I'll wait with the rating until it reaches a final version.

Exceptional! A significant part (more like the missing part) of capitalizing on Spotlight technology, making computing on the mac light years more efficient and enjoyable. Thanks to the developer for supplying this little gem, wow!
