Track stock prices on UK or US markets.

Overview

Stock Portfolio allows you to track stock prices on the UK or US markets. You can graph stocks, download data or visit the Yahoo! Finance pages for the stock. You can track your portfolio and view your current profit (or loss!).

What's new in Stock Portfolio

Version 2.6:
  • Universal Binary version!
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the context menu appearing
  • Fixed a bug caused by a stock ticker no longer being valid due to a merger, etc. - a more complete solution will be added later
  • Fixed a bug that could sometimes leave a remnant of the program in memory after quitting

I have not used this one before, but the screen shot looks rather plain. I use another stock application, which I would love to mention, but would not be very nice for me to do, and it has separate windows for each stock you enter with all the information. Yes features and workability are important, but so is aesthetics, and in a day and age of OS 10.3 - 10.4, things have no reason looking plain--except the command line.

Aa far as I know (and there is no website to ask) it only tracks quotes. Meaning it misses a portfolio where one can enter transactions and get Profit/Loss reports on each stock during a designated period.

I would rather you tried the program before reviewing it! Version 2 adds a new graphical appearance along with a lot of extra functionality. Please give the demo a try - you may well find that you like it.
