Very nice widget! I've wanted a StatCounter widget for a while, and I'm happy to find one that's well done.
Good things:
- Clean layout
- Small size
- Visually attractive
- Simple
For the future, I would recommend
- Different stats views (including latest Came From entries)
- Clickable weekday links
- Don't display days that have zero hits because they haven't happened yet
- Don't have a default project ID when the widget is opened for the first time, since this is confusing. Have a link on the front instructing the user to flip the widget over and follow the instructions on the back.
- Don't have the detail view disappear when the user mouses out of the weekday link
Again, though, it's a great widget!
Hasn't worked for over a year now (blank window/no graphs with the word "undefined"). Isn't it about time MU updated their database and trashed this non-working widget?
Since yesterday, the widget no longer displays any stats. For a long period it told me the stats were "Undefined", but showed them anyway, now it doesn't any longer. Bummer...
After installing Mac OS 10.5, when I try to look at the stats it says "Undefined"
Other than that it works ok (except it has trouble showing me results from today.)
Nice widget.
Two comments. The adjust for the timezone is kind of frustrating, because statcounter.com is ahead of where I am. I'm getting hits on my sites, but can't see them on the widget.
I have multiple instances of the widget running for my different sites. When I restart, all the widgets are tracking one site. Not a big deal, but it would be nice if I didn't have to reenter the numbers each time I restart.
Otherwise it's solid. Thanks for the great product.
My stats (through the widget) suddenly today stopped working. I uninstalled the widget and reinstalled. I have checked that I use public access. No difference, just a blank and empty widget...
