System 47 is a "LCARS" style screen saver with various flashed-based animations.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM GODZFIRE: Loving this screensaver as much as I do, I was very sad when I found out that it would not install or function on 10.5 or 10.6. MeWho hasn't posted an update since mid 2006, and all attempts to contact him have failed. With what little knowledge I had, I was able to update the 'ScreenTime for Flash' installer so it now properly installs on the newer operating systems and functions when opened in the Screen Saver Preference Pane.

I thank godzfire for their work in updating System47 to an Intel screensaver.
My only qualm - and it is slight - is I'm running OSX Mavericks, and, while System47 DOES work, it is slightly wonky.
I'm about to contact godzfire to see if anything's been done to update it.
But, if you - like us - like Star Trek, System47 IS THE screensaver.

Love this screen saver and have been using it for many, many years. I need it back! :)

What are the chances of an update to resolve the crash issue when you try and change the settings?

That said, still a very nice screensaver for the Trek fans, and as it's free, I can't complain. If the author updates it, I'd gladly pay a few dollars for it.

When I used the installer that came with this it changed the name of my Desktop Folder to "system47.saver" and made it into an application. Scared the crap out of me because all my files that had been on the desktop disappeared. I had to find the file that used to be my Desktop, Show Contents, change permissions to get them out of there, put the saver/desktop folder in the trash and Restart to get a new Desktop folder.
Sheesh.
Why does a screensaver need an installer script anyway??! I know where to put screensavers.
