Am I blind or does this just not look any different? The only difference I can see from bog-standard iTunes is the track of the volume slider.

Nope, corners are not fine. :P ;) Apple just fixed the jaggies with iTunes 5 so it's a little sad SmoothTunes take them back. It sure isn't the end of the world though! :D

The edges are a little jagged. Besides this, it's great. I have to use the default skin until the jaggy edges are fixed.

Your're right. There are tiny jaggies in the lower left and lower right corners.

I'm running it on Itunes 6 with no problems. Although i must say that this has potential to become a real way to skin itunes (something i've been trying to do since they switched to OS X). I could do it easily with Resedit back the days of classic and the possiblities were endless. I'd settle for just a simple color change now (Black maybe?). Anyway you can do that with this program?

No. But the developer is normally very fast to react to new releases. While I too can't wait to get rid of Apple's deary grey, it's probably best to wait just a little.

Yea I have...it works but you will have a small black chip in each corner of iTunes. I tried to restore and it WILL NOT go back to the original look...I would wait til an update of SmoothTunes comes out for those with iTunes 6.0

Any chance you can fix the iTunes corner radius? That's probably the single most annoying part of iTunes 5.

This is great software. With the advent of iTunes 5 and its ugly 'used chewing gum' grey look many will feel even more the need to change iTunes' appearance. SmoothTunes does the trick. It provides a comfortable back-up routine and a convenient updater. The developer updates his program as soon as there is an iTunes update. Fantastic! Thank you so much for this.

It's all a matter of taste. I for one think that iTunes 5 and 6 look much better than any previous version. I'd rather see Apple make a Cocoa version of iTunes and any of their other Carbon developed applications.

Hi everyone! Sorry, but there was a problem on my server and I am scrambling to get the files back to what they were and where they were. As a temporary work around, I redirected SmoothTunes downloads to Iridium. I apologize for any inconvenience.

You need to do a couple of things to the scripts before you re-release this. First, you shouldn't be testing for the existence of /Library/Application\ Support/Safefire/Pre-Iridium-Backup before you allow anyone to back up their current iTunes skin. Is it standalone from Iridium or isn't it? If it requires an Iridium-based theme to work, then say so. Second, SmoothTunes needs a restore from backup script. Third, don't work on the assumption that iTunes is always inside /Applications ! Add an outer test for /Applications/iTunes.app Aside from that, make the red highlighted READ ME file appear before the others if it's so important. With default Finder window sizes, it's not visible until you scroll down. Sounds like I hate this? Well, I wouldn't install it if I didn't like it :-) I certainly wouldn't try to help you out.
