Wrapper for PVC phase vocoder.

Overview

PVCX is a wrapper for Paul Koonce's powerful PVC phase vocoder package. Currently, it's being made available as a public beta with the hope that it'll generate feedback, bug reports, suggestions, and additions to its help pages. There are plenty of rough edges to be smoothed.

Since you wanted feedback, here's a first bit regarding the UI: start over! Seriously, just start off by putting all the controls for a given function in a regular window. Drawers are meant for supplementary controls that don't need to be visible all the time. To the contrary, you've dumped almost every necessary control in there and forced it to be visible at all times to get anything done. It's almost funny (but not) seeing the giant drawer slide beyond the upper bound of its tiny parent window. Your 1024x768 requirement is a bit shy of what's really needed because at least one drawer is so large that it continues off the edge of my screen. Please carefully read through Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and start over with the whole UI design. The drawer abuse isn't the only problem here. The spacing and layout of the controls and labels is inconsistent and rather haphazard and needs some thoughtful redesign. The non-modal options dialogs can become cluttered or lost behind others and they have an ambiguous close button (does it cancel or save?) -- redoing them as sheets would resolve both of these issues. I could go on, but I'll leave some for the other reviewers. :)
