Remotely share an image of your Desktop.

Overview

ShowTime lets you show your current desktop to anybody. To do so, your buddies only have to type your IP address into a Web browser. If your buddies are in your local LAN, they can use the Bonjour services (available in Safari) to locate your screen.

Pretty cool. Basically, it's a mini web server that serves up a single screenshot (not video) every time an incoming client issues a request. A lot easier than having to upload images to a webserver and easier than trying to get someone to install VNC.

This application is great. I've always had to make a screenshot and move that file around to let somebody see what I see but this application makes it easier. But I also want to point out some problems : - on my iMac Core Duo with OS X 10.4.9 it crashes frequently and I have to relaunch it very often. - the pointer on the screenshots is just a yellow outline. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be that way. At last I would like to request a feature : - I would like to be able to adjust the size of the output image. In many cases a 50% sized image is enough.

I wouldn't say this is the best way to show the desktop to everybody because at my home I have a complicated setup of a wifi router and a voip gateway and therefore am unable to enable port forwarding to my pc and hence I can't show the desktop to anybody over the internet. I wish there was option to show it over virtual lan network like using hamachix or vua upnp server... any help in this direction would be greatly appreciated.
