iShout is a music player to listen to Shoutcast streams and record your favorite Internet radios.
What's New
Version 1.0.1:
  • Using mplayer (instead of mpg123) makes it possible to listen to low bitrate streams. It makes the software huge (~7MB) but this is temporary as it will use Quicktime one day and at least all streams will play nicely, not 10x faster.
  • Recording and playing will now stop even when you force quit the application.
  • It now says : Hide iShout in the main menu :-)
Requirements
PPC, Mac OS X 10.3 or later

No longer works with 10.5.5/iTunes 8 (says no internet connection detected). Worked perfectly before now. :(

Holy crap. I used to use StreamRipperX a lot back in the day, and I just downloaded this. This app is amazing. I can see all the same streams as iTunes can. Ripping is just a button click.

Amazing app! Keep up the good work dev.!

works nice so far, simple GUI and the playback works far better than streamripper. no need for itunes if you just want to listen. oh and one mouseclick and you can record that song.

but i agree.. to store favorite streams makes it complete.

thumbs up

oh one more thing, it apears that streamripper keeps the chronological order of the songs and ishout does not. if you record continuous play ishout doesn't do the job right for me. i keep my copy of streamripper

Nice piece of software. The playback speed bug has been fixed so now I enjoy even more streams.
There are few things i'd like to see in next releases like an option to save my favorite streams, a feature that let me record any stream I have a valid url for, but very good work so far.

OMG this program rules. I had previously been using programs like StreamRipper (which is part of this program) and this has such a low memory and CPU print. Keep it up. lol In its menu it still said "Hide NewApplication" but I have the dev tools installed and I fixed that.

No longer works.
iShout runs but NO stations appear in the interface and it does not appear that you can add any of your own.

Nothing, simply won't launch on my G4 PowerMac. It says that I'm not connected to the internet (while of course, I am :-)
