This product does not work nor does the author bother to answer emails. This should be an indicator to run as fast as possible away from this hack. Don't bother.

Ok, as many people have reported, my gen2 15GB iPod is not affected at all by this application. Also, the app wouldn't recognize the iPod unless I enabled disk usage. After following the instructions, there has been no change.

Okay. Having read the follow up article I now know it doesn't work with iPhotos. Might be worth pointing out the limitations here.

This software doesn't work with Gen 2 iPods. I ran the software, it said it found my iPod I clicked number display. The software said that I need to disconnect my iPod to finish the update. My iPod wouldn't eject as the app holds a directory on the iPod open. Upon quitting and unplugging the iPod, I saw no change in the battery indicator. The app creates a file in the iPod_Control/Device directory called _show_voltage. That file is on my iPod but I see no change.

Well two the two previous posters i dont understand how you didnt get it to work. its very easy plug in ipod, open up application choose whether you want a number or battery icon indicator, quit application and unplug ipod from comp. other than that i love this application probably one of the few most useful apps ill use. simple, works, and decent gui (eventhough it doesnt matter)
