I'm sure these are stunning photos and would make a great screen saver. But I'm supposed to pay nineteen bucks for this? Hey wait a minute, I've already paid for them. As a US taxpayer, I mean. The vendor of this product didn't take them himself, they're public property. He probably did little if anything more than assemble them in a folder. These picture are public property already and it takes enormous chutzpah to ask money for them.
This developer has promised a "lifetime" of updates. I purchased the previous years (2004) screensaver. They have personally and specifically promised me an upgrade. I have called, em@iled and contacted in every conceivable way to get support for their product to no avail. DO NOT BUY THIS RIPPOFF! BEWARE! The developers do not exist! They do not reply. They do not keep their commitments.
Agreed, charging for these images is unthinkable.

Pick and choose, make your own.
I agree--it's unconscionable to charge money to show us pictures that belong to everyone. I understand paying $1 for public domain movies on DVD, but $20 for a screen saver of pictures I already own. Never.
