Radar In Motion

Wish they would fix this widget.

<sigh> Was ABSOLUTELY the best radar option on the Earth to which the public has access to before weather.com screwed us over. Now we're stuck using NOAA, which is just no where nearly as nice.

The bottom of the widget shows 7 Dec 16. The only problem is it's the 10 of Jan 17. I closed the widget and put a new one in. Still no difference.

Love this widget, but it appears the weather.com maps are busted again after working for a while (they probably did something to interrupt the feed). NOAA maps appear to be working. MBP 15" 2.0 GHz Ci7 10.8.2

Arrgh! I've downloaded 2.6.4 several times, and it still doesn't work!

Hooray! An update to my favorite Widget (the only reason, other than DeliveryStatus, that I still use Dashboard). Top-notch widget. Thanks and I wish you'd add a "donations accepted" button to your home page. Though I know there's no real future development planned, I would ask that you consider making the lower-bar thing -- the part that pops up when you mouse by it to refresh, add/remove, and cycle through your maps -- visible all the time.

Greatest widget! I refer to the dashboard button on my keyboard as the "Radar Button". The regional 300 and 600 mile radars are working now.

My favorite widget after Delivery Status. Note for those having trouble with 2.6.4: I had to reboot after installing it to get it to work.

Absolutely, by far, the best weather app anywhere. Due to the inability to work properly for the last several weeks I literally swore off checking weather updates b/c simply nothing is as good as this widget at quickly getting a glance of where we're heading as far as local weather is concerned. My favorite widget, but still no change from last version (regional maps don't work). The new download is still V 2.6.2. - not 2.6.4. Also, even though I trashed the old version and it's pref file, The new installation shows my zip. Is there another hidden pref I can't find? 10.6.8 - 2011 Imac

It looks like the latest version of Meteorologist can retrieve Weather Channel maps again, so maybe there's still hope for RadarInMotion.

According to the developer, this widget may now be on life support (see http://dividedsoul.net/RadarInMotion/) due to recent changes to The Weather Channel's maps and an unspecified problem processing the ones from NOAA. That's sad, as this widget was top notch in my book. :(

I like this widget. It displays the moving radar picture very well and lets you tailor it to your liking. You can adjust frame speed, source of the radar, how often it updates, how long it saves images and more. I'm very happy with it. Other widgets I've used stop updating and show you images or loops that are days old. The only glitch seems to be with the posting of the latest version. No matter which link for version 2.6.2 I download (developer, Apple, MacUpdate) they say a newer version is available. Each version shows in the Finder as being 2.6.

A really useful widget. Occasionally fails to work but what do you want for free? NOTE: there is a new version (2.6.2) that was just released on 4/9/11. There has been no update submitted to MacUpdate, apparently. Go to the developer's site for the link.

Stopped working altogether on 2 different computers running different versions of OS 10 (PPC 10.5 and intel 10.6) so does not appear to be a platform specific issue.

Not working under 10.6.6 on the new MacBook Pros (early 2011; Thunderbolt). Deleted widget and preferences, downloaded and reinstalled, also cleared cookies/cache all per recommendations at site. Each time it will eventually lock up Dashboard. A quick read at the developer's site says he's stopped development, which is too bad. Haven't yet found a decent re-sizable radar widget to replace RIM.

As of a few days ago, my map is blank. The widget is now just a big black box on my dashboard. Doesn't seem to be loading maps from either source anymore.

Suddenly getting the question mark today. Images loaded fine previously...
