Brushed Metal is a bad choice for this app. Looks hideous.

The only problem with the last post is that the widget will go away when you activate Dashboard again. Widget Master will enable Dashboard Development Mode so that the widget will stay where you put it.

AMNESTY IS EXPENSIVE and does very little that would justify its price. The dirty little secret is this: If one wants widgets to run in the finder, one only has to hold down F12, open the widget shelf, drag the widget into the finder by hitting F12 again

BitTorrent does have legit uses but the developer is such a muppet ;) Also this is useless now.

I guess this is kinda pointless now with 10.4.2's widget manager or am I missing something?

Widget Master 1.3 Dashboard Development Mode is greyed out and will not work in Tiger 10.4.2. This happened before on a previous version where everything was greyed out. Losing patience.

I'm not sure what you mean by everything being grayed out. The "On" button should be active and the "off" button should be grayed out. Otherwise none of the buttons should be grayed out on purpose.

Not everything is greyed out on version 1.3 running Tiger 10.4.2, that is what happened on a previous version of Widget Master. But the Dashboard Development Mode buttons i.e. On and Off are both greyed out and will not work. The other parts of the programme are OK. As I said this is on Tiger 10.4.2.

Brilliant, now we are cooking on gas. Thank you for your speedy fix 1.3.1. The Dashboard Development Mode buttons "on/off" are now active and not greyed out. Thanks for a great little programme.

To the developer: If you're putting so much work into a nice freeware program like this, how about making it something to compete with Amnesty, which charges $20 for putting the widgets into a menubar pulldown list? You'd have one of the most popular extensions for Tiger if such could be done....

Gotta agree. Widget Master does what you need it to do, with no drama. I would definitely consider paying for it (as long as it's between five and ten dollars.

If you really think all that Amnesty does is put "widgets into a menubar pulldown list", then no wonder you think it's expensive! :-)

I use BitTorrent to download the this WEEK in TECH podcast and other podcasts, since I can get them quicker that way.

Can you PLEASE get rid of those file extensions. Yes, we all know that widgets have the extension "wdgt". Also brushed metal looks better with less unused space.

The author may not want to hint that he downloads illegal material either - you can clearly see a torrent file on his desktop :S
