Nice look and space-saving. I like the real world HiFi-device look and especially how the little pseudo-LED symbols light up and fade out when you press a button. However, Black'n'Blue lacks three features of Apple's (IMO ugly) widget: You can't navigate within the tune. And you can't adjust volume. Also, perhaps worst, there is no Pause button and if you press Stop, and then Play, the song will start anew instead of picking up where it was stopped (i.e. it's not a pause substitute as I hoped). And this is the only way to restart a song, the Previous button *always* jumps to the previous song, not like in iTunes only when you press it twice. All in all: Good looks, but when you control iTunes, why not with the used control button behaviour everybody would expect?

It's a complete resource hog. I have a 1.33GHz Powerbook and it causes the CPU usage to be at 100% constantly. Looks good though, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

besides a pretty package it doesn't offer anything more than the apple itunes widget. it also uses about 20% of my 800 mghz powerbook. apple's version uses significantly less. bottom line: nice looks but not worth it for me.

The CPU usage problem is now fixed and a new 1.0.1 version will be available for download soon. It was the result of a last-minute "fix" for some other problem. Version 1.0.1 will use less CPU than Apple's iTunes widget. Thanks to all who reported this issue. John Casasanta Black 'n' Blue developer

First, I prefer this iTunes widget to Apple's. That being said, it's a resource hog. Also, what's with the rotating circle beneath the shuffle/repeat icons? Is it necessary? Finally, if it could be shrunken it'd remain on my desktop.
