Helps you identify the type of a file.

Overview

This application helps you to identify the type of a file. It relays on the Unix command-line utility 'file'.

It is useful if you have a file without extension or other file type identifiers. For example, some e-mail attachments.

The application also displays the MIME type.

If you don't have the Terminal.app open all the time, this utility is handy. It is annoying when people expect Mac users to do stuff from the command line just because you can. Let's all go back to DOS!
