..and by changing to 5523.10, it works in Leopard as well (make sure SIMBL is 0.8.2). Yay!

My dockstatus icon is inflated. Even when I set it to the smallest size, it covers at least 50% of the safari dock icon. Is this a bug or...? This happened after I ran software update and it installed the latest security update. Running Safari 2.0.4(419.3).

I did install the new Safari beta, well aware that Safari DockStatus would probably stop working, and so it did. And I really miss it. Please, please, please make this little goodie alive again!

_ Continues to cause Safari to report: Safari 2.0.4 (v419.3) has not been tested with the plugin SafariDockStatus (null) (v1.0.2). As a precaution, it has not been loaded. Please contact the plugin developer for further information. Not really useful me anymore anyway since my dock is rather crowded and therefore quite small.

You know, this has just never worked for me. It always displays the wrong number. I must be doing something wrong.

Have you tried contacting the developer? His email address is here. His name is Dan Brown.

This is simply an awesome plugin. I have one suggestion though: Add the option to select a specific folder in your bookmarks to only list the number of unread feeds instead of everything. I want to know how many unread feeds I have in my other bookmarks, but only want the number of a certain bookmarks folder to show on the dock.

Anyone who's having problems with the odd count of unread messages, check for RSS feeds you didn't know about in your bookmarks: I've updated the readme in the disk image with an explanation.

Why is it that my bookmarks bar says there are 166 unread but the dock says 201?

Okay, I myself, as well as other people, have reported seeing bizarre large numbers that don't make sense. I think I may have found a solution: Open Safari's Preferences->RSS. Hit the "Remove Now" button. You should probably also make sure that "Bookmarks Menu" is unchecked, unless you're sure you want it.

Apple includes a number of preset RSS feeds in the Bookmarks Menu, something I remember discovering when first writing this. They're under 'News' somewhere in there as I remember. Check it out, delete the feeds you don't want, and then the total unread number more accurately reflects what you want to read. This should reveal the source of the strangely large numbers; if there are any more problems, email me or reply here. Cheers!

It says 194 when Safari is launched, and then does nothing else for me...

Perhaps I spoke too soon... it is now stuck on "25" even though I don't really have any new articles. I'm not sure whose fault it is, though.
