Well this is a strange fruit. It still works unders Snow leopard, but activity monitor shows it leaping to 50% of CPU almost immediately. Its a pity because mac could benefit from desktop widgets. Yahoo has it down to a fine art and even google is on the act. Many of apples widgets are great but only one at a time via terminal on the desktop...I want more, pity the development of this app has not been carried on and improved

Users who have installed Safari 3.0b should upgrade to Amnesty 1.3.1 to solve issues introduced by the beta version of WebKit -- thanks!

IMPORTANT: Installing Apple's new Safari beta will cause widgets running in Amnesty to ignore mouse-down-and-drag events for widget repositioning. At this time we strongly advise all users to hold off on installing Safari 3.0b until we can provide a solution for this issue. As a workaround, press and hold the option key as you click a widget to force the widget to respond to the mouse.

u don't need a application program to do this, u can do it from terminal

Drag A Widget Onto The Desktop

Probably one of the coolest hacks. This command enables widgets to be placed onto the desktop. Drag a widget around and press F12 to drag it onto the desktop. Repeat the process again to drag a widget back onto the dashboard. This may need you to log off or restart for it to take effect.

defaults write com.apple.dashboard devmode YES

Are you up to date on all your 10.3.9 updates (via Software Update)? Some users have had similar troubles go away after updating Java.

i was actually looking for something that would allow me to keep the dashboard open all the time, just like the dock.... but this only allows me to keep widgets on the desktop. and the widgets i put on the desktop are always on top of whatever windows i have open, which is kind of annoying

To do that just have a program like Onyx switch your dashboard to "developer mode". Then you can drag widgets out of the dashboard to hang around on your desktop.

Tis fine now with 1.0.1 - I reckon it's worth buying - this product has a good long future.
