Can't make it work. Not to the server in the other room, not to a hosted server. Transmit itself works, Fetch works, Cyberduck works. The widget itself is a fantastic idea and the look and action of it, amazing.

Has worked perfectly for me and I have had problems with other ftp widgets/scripts that I have used with my work server.

anyway to make it so the permissions are autmatically set to something user specified (using octal #?) after upload? as it is, ill still have to go in with transmit and change those settings. im using it to upload pictures to a specific folder to be shared on the web.

Still annoying - I prefer to close widgets when not in use and this one doesn't remember path settings, so they have to be re-entered every time. Even better would be a drop down list of different server settings entered and remembered.

This widget has worked perfectly for me since day one. It never launches the full version of Transmit and it's extremely easy to drag files on to the widget. It's quick and easy, a great way when you just want to quickly send one file without launching the app.

I was a little surprised by Panic's lame widget. Their software is top notch but this weidget is a bit useless. I coudn't get it to connected either as many users have posted already. Further more it launches the full version of Transmit which to me kills the point to have the widget. I woudn't mind uploading a file here and there without a full FTP app. Also dropping files onto is not an easy task. This may be the implementation of Dashboard more then this widget itself, but possibly a browse feature culd supplement that.

Doesn't work for me. Entered correct info and won't connect. Even reinstalled twice. Anyone knows what's going on?

This widget is a ripoff of what Yummy FTP has been able to do with FTP Alias for many versions of the software... the widget is a BAD idea. FTP Alias is a lot more useful and it can handle 10000s of files/folder, works in the Finder, and in 10.3!!! It works with Growl and AutoRoute there is no comparison, this is just a blatant ripoff imho.

I don't see how it could be called a rip off. Drop boxes have been around since the beginning of a GUI internet. Apple has had drag and drop printer icons from the desktop. Apple's old eWorld community used drag and drop transfers. It's fair to say there is a better solution, but it's unfair to claim it as a rip off.

It doesn't work for me, either. I put the correct information in the set up and when I drop a file on it..it tries to upload and then says "Can't find (red X) Transmit 3" Anybody know what's up?

Works great, does exactly what it says it does, and is the EXACT widget I was looking for as soon as I installed Tiger. The little animation it does is great too.
