Developer website: The Bosie Costa Art Studio

SSHFun is an AppleScript Studio application designed to establish a secure connection between Mac computers by tunnelling ports 548 (Apple File Share), 3031 (Apple Remote Events) and 5900 (VNC) through port 22 (Secure Shell, SSH) using Terminal (Applications/Utilities). The features of SSHFun operate inside a secure environment whether in a Home or Office LAN (Local Area Network) or indeed over the Internet WAN (Wide Area Network). Please note prior exchange of SSH Keys (for ultimate security) is strongly recommended if you intend to use the program over a network which is not secure (inherently the Internet itself). Alerts in respect of errors, progress or reply messages are displayed in SSHFun's blue console. Features include:
  • Mount a remote directory on your Desktop
  • Open a URL in a remote Safari
  • Message a remote SSHFun and capture the reply
  • Set a remote iChat's Status Message
  • Play a track from a remote iTunes Library or open a stream
  • Speak the text
