Very nice little tool. I just paid my $8 for it. One feature I'd like to see however is the ability to view a group of images at thumbnails (aka Apple's own Slideshow CM feature).

_ Yay! I'm not having any major function problems with the new version! Slightly odd behaviors in the way the rescaling of the preview part of the window works, and the previews themselves need a size pref. Needs to display a list of sort folders, too. I still really really really wish it had a few basic editing features like high quality scaling, saving as other file types, renaming etc. and then i'd snap it up. .

_ Not terribly useful. Certainly no replacement for the indispensable (but intel incompatible) QuickImageCM which had lots of basic editing features built in and didn't cost anything. Annoying the way it grabs all images in the folder instead of just selected items, and doesn't really have much functionality beyond viewing images. Does have a pretty nice interface. _

When I moved to the Mac from Linux, the program I missed most was 'qiv'. This thing was SO fast at viewing images, it blew all the other apps away. I have never found a good replacement for qiv on the Mac until NOW. This app rocks. The only addition would be to allow the customization of hotkeys. Other than that, no issues at alL!

Crashed on first launch. And the second. And the third. I've sent the crash report to the developer.

nice tool, good gui. QuickImageCM is NOT an alternative. maybe PicturePopPro, but not as nice as ImageViewerCMPlugIn. 10 bucks are ok.

QuickImageCM does everything for free, why would I pay 8 bucks for a slower plugin?

Hi Lex, seems you have learned the copy and paste thing... good for you. If you don't like my software, do NOT use it. And stop spoiling the reviews or I will alert a site admin.

(give valid reasons to backup your claims) I felt a little awkward reviewing a piece of shareware I hadn't tested so after 'dojob 's' comment I tried ImageViewerCM and I also "..clicked on View pictures in 'Folder'... but nothing happened" Firstly I tried installing with Pacifist - that didn't work. so I have reinstalled version 1.2 twice more using the supplied installer, the second time with a restart and still nothing. No mention on the developers site as to the changes of this latest version (1.2) - but whatever they are they don't seem to be working. Don't know who should feel more foolish, the developer for charging for software that doesn't work or me for wasting time on testing it.

While I am all for competition QuickImageCM http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/11532 Is by far a better choice - a veritable photoshop-in-a-CMMplugin. It has more options, has been in development longer and is freeware. Plus Mr.Hide Itoh is one of the kindest, most talented programmer/artist working 'for/with' the mac today. Also try his other freeware CMM's PhotoToolCM 2.0, QuickPlayCM 1.1 and FinderIconCM 2.4 at http://www.pixture.com/
