Works great! I'm not using it for very sophisticated purposes, but it's definitely a lifesaver. I haven't had any problems.

Wow, saw this pop up, I bought and used this many, many years ago and it was great. I saw that someone gave it a poor review rating because it crashed on launch, but then they realized they were running it on the wrong system. I'm giving it more stars to offset that review for this classic app that been around forever.

I couldn't find anything about a shareware fee on the developer's web site. Other sites list this as freeware. Can someone clarify?

I found, and have now lost, a payment link, but it seemed to have been something left over from OS 8 days, because it didn't connect to anything. On the other hand, though, the dev's website says that there's 15 day trial, so... [shrug]I dunno.[/shrug]

I now can't find the 15 day trial either; the page has disappeared. (If you look at GIFC's "Help" menu you'll see a raft of referrals to the WWW, so this thing is obviously in a state of major flux.)

Sorry... Found it... Both the link and the trial are in a pop-up when I quit the app. It mentions "GIFConverter version 2.4.5d5 of Sunday, December 30, 2001 (sic)," and it's obviously not an OS X native GUI, but it does run, although I haven't tested it extensively.

I remember the original GIFConverter from the mid 80s and when saw it here, I thought "wow." It was probably my first serious graphics program. Hope development continues but for now, it crashes on launch.

Runs fine in my OS X 10.6.6 (with Rosetta installed), but an app that requires "MacOS 8.1 or later" is a pretty peculiar beast at today's date.

Yeah, looks like maybe it was maybe recompiled with an old copy of Code Warrior...
