I recently purchased BlueChip after a friend recommended I look into it for my Mac. I am so pleased with the results I've seen so far.
Considering the relatively small asking price ($12) I wasn't expecting all the features that BlueChip ended up having. For myself, the stock alerts section is proving most useful, simply because it is often hard for me to keep track of my stocks in a typical busy day. I don't worry so much anymore, because my personal alerts notify me in case anything worth noting happens in my portfolio.
I also had a question about the program, so I contacted the BlueChip staff through email. Their reply to my question was lightning fast and very helpful.
If you actively trade stocks, or are even just beginning your portfolio, I would very much recommend this program to help you keep better track of your investments.
Awesome product, and awesome support. I have been a loyal user since version 1.0 and they keep making the application better and better. Sure there have been bugs, but each one is killed very quickly.
The best part is that the developers are realistic with the pricing. Every update is free which makes the price well justified.
A very nice little program for keeping track of the market and your portfolio during the day. Gives me peace of mind knowing that if any of my stocks hit their trailing stops during the day I'll know it immediately (or at least within 15 minutes since the ticker is delayed). And then I can simply click on an icon within BlueChip and it takes my directly to my broker's website.
I had one quible with the alarm not being loud enough so I posted a suggestion on their website forum to fix this. Within a few hours someone from their support staff had replied with a solution to the problem. Now that's customer support.
If you're looking for a program to keep tabs on the market and your portfolio while you go about your daily business BlueChip is the one for you.
Not bad for a 1.0 release. I'm hoping they implement a few more power features in newer versions, including perhaps an option to have more than one portfolio or the ability to export data.
All that aside, the app is very simple and easy to use. The interface is very slick and I love the icons. Definitely worth the price of admission.
