Ooops, came back to check on the update, and wow! Now it's completely useless to me. 10.5 dropped support for several critical things, so I am stuck with 10.4, and since this no longer works with 10.4 or lower... C'est la vie... Still printing with cmd-shft-4.

This is a nice idea, it's got some great ideas... However, there are a few things it needs before It will fit my criteria as being something I must have. First, it needs a text-file output form, where it will dump hierarchical output in .txt or .rtf files. I want to be able to put comments on my listings without first resorting to hardcopy... Second, things tend to get cut off in weird places in the .pdf output. Most noticeably at the top, just below the headers. Third, some of the columns aren't needed for some things... i.e., it would be nice to be able to remove columns, like the File Kind one... You might be locked into this format by the method used to print it, but in most cases the headers and blank scroll bars are just annoying. And for the printouts, it might be nice to also have the ability to change typeface. Another feature that might be worthwhile is to enable drag and drop of the directory to print. On projects, sometimes you just need to print out a specific folder or two at various stages, and it would be easier just to drag and print. Sadly, without the .txt output, this has too severely a limited function to justify it's price for my uses. As for directories on projects, it's easier to cmd-shft-4, select, couble-click the .png and press cmd-p. It doesn't look as clean, but it's faster, free, and for me has the same functionality.

A 10-page directory chokes our HP2100 (prints 4 pages and gives up; printing a directory shouldn't be an out-of-memory event, should it?); "save as PDF" chokes the keyboard. File names get cut off at end and beginning of continuing pages (same problem as old Macs; inexcusable then and now). Not ready for prime time? Why Apple would remove this highly useful feature from its OS is a mystery.

Hi, I was testing out DCP1.0, and thought it does quite a decent job of cataloging what I have on a CD/DVD (sort of like printing the contents of a window in OS 9). However, a helpful suggestion to next version of the app would be if it could also include the name of the directory on the printout, and size of the total contents...Otherwise, this seems like a pretty good solution to doing piecemeal screenshots of a file listing if it's longer than the visible window area in OS X... Thanx

Great idea. Nice looking. Didn't crash. Clumsy interface. Needs options. I typed by hand the address of the directory I wanted to print. Maybe "Select Default Directory" could be simplified to "Select Directory." Better yet, fix it so one can simply drag the desired folder onto the app. My main reason for wanting to print a directory is to create an index for a CD. While the browser view printed small enough, a specific formating option would be better. Outline and icon views, even scaled down as small as possible, still print too large for a CD jewel case. The nag message pops up immediately. How about a few free runs?
