Use cellphone to remind you of appointments.

Overview

Now your cell phone can remind you of appointments.

RemindMePro keeps track of appointments and the like, based either on time and date or time and day of the week. It works in the background until the time you specified for a warning is reached and them it opens a small blinking window on top of all other windows and in the upper left corner of the desktop. When you come to a good stopping place click on it and it opens fully displaying your appointment. Click the next button to return it to the background.

First, it's an application designed for Carbon AND Win32 platform; it's has all features of this kind of application, including horrible interface and non-Apple style control convention. This one could win the prize of horrible interface competition. The registration reminder let users wait 30 sec before you can try it, though there is a giant 15 count-down timer on the dialog. The preference option in application is disabled all the time. Every function is listed on the main window as checkbox and button, without description about what they do. It does nothing more then iCal, even worse; you have to keep this application running to let it remind you doing something, while the iCal may run a tiny background thread to watch the events. The so-called reminding through cell phone, means that you can sent reminding email to the specified address hosted by you cell phone Service Provider, for example, 10digitphonenumber@email.usc*.net for USC*llular service. You can also do this in iCal. The only difference is that iCal is free. If the author really want to sell his software, please first fix all misspelled word and wrong syntax on the page, hire a web-designer, and install a Mac OS X box to see what it can do.
