Note: the .sitx format may show as code in your browser, just control-click and then select "Save File As...".

And I quote, from the about page: "we can advertise YOU in our programs!" I certainly hope people wouldn't want to be advertised in this laughable attempt at interface design. I mean, you can't copy and paste because everything is disaplyed inside tables and you can't resize the window. You are forced to scroll through this tiny thing. Developer, this could be a simply and quick app that looks good and is easy to use: fix it up a bit and rethink the interface. Anyway, kudos for being free.

Why host a bunch of txt files in an app that can easily be accessed on the internet on sites such as GameFAQs?

Well, actually, if you know you're going to be needing the information, you can also just download the relevant webpages and read them offline.

What I stilll don't understand is why people are still packaging text files in applications.

I completely agree with all of your comments and I realize there are easy ways to make it better. I did this 4 motnhs ago, before I new anything and now I have a better idea of working with REALbasic. Expect the new version soon. and help on a search field would be great. Ryan,

Ahh..It looks like this developers first contribution to the software world, give the guy some slack. Nice idea, thanks for being helpful but you learn a bit more about interface design as has previously been said. Look around at some other applications to see how data is displayed elegantly in a clean and accessible manner and good luck for the future.

This would be slightly useful if it wasn't so hard to navigate through. Until the "developer" uses a better layout, you should stay away from this.

The idea enticed me when first viewing MacUpdate. I thought to myself "hmm... this could be a good database with information on DS games". Unfortunately, this "app" isn't easy to browse, isn't broken up by-game (all the information for ALL the games is located in one text view), and doesn't provide an easy way to access hints and cheats for your favorite DS game. To the developer: I would recommend ditching the current interface and developing a new, searchable database broken up by game. Don't use tableviews for your information, since there is absolutely no reason to do so. And please, remove all the random marketing bits about the DS. We already know it's a Dual-screen ;-). I'd recommend anyone who is interested in this app to skip it.. at least until the developer updates it to make it useable.

This app is so bad, I don't even know where to start. 1) The developer forgot to remove the file menu, which is empty. 2) The main window has a close box, and there is no way to get the window back short of relaunching the app. 3) Under "Game Help", "Piece" is spelled "Piece", not "Peice". 4) Printing is broken. It simply prints everything on one page, which of course clips off everything except the first page of data. 5) Developer, why why why did you use lists? Ever heard of multiline read only text fields? 6) The app just looks generally bad. Not enough space around the edges of the window, etc. 7) Why is the icon translucent? It looks very odd. It is very low-resolution also. 8) You can't resize the window, so you have to scroll endlessly to see everything. The rating options I have (features, playability, graphics & sound, and stability), don't really apply to this application, since it is not a game, but I give it a 1 in features, 1 in ease of use, 3 on stability, and 3 on value.
