Interesting app. The flowchart style composition map is fairly intuitive (like PedalEffects for images/video), and the array of effects and functions seems quite comprehensive, if a little short on adjustment options in some cases. I'm amazed so many functions can be crammed into such a small package.
That said, there are a few aspects that ruined it for me.
1- So many windows! And no two are the same size on either axis, so they're constantly obscuring each other (at 1280x960, anyway). Trivial perhaps, but awkward unless you have a large monitor.
2- Doesn't appear to handle DV streams. Referenced QuickTime movies (.mov) are fine, but it can't directly open iMovie .dv or Final Cut render files. This could potentially put a big kink in many people's work flow.
3- No time line equivalent, or none that I could see (though the Deck window lets you set the in and out points, there doesn't seem to be a way of chaining clips together in a composition).
4- No manual or help file. I tried exporting, put a name in the field on the node viewer, tried various settings...nothing. Obviously I'm doing something wrong, but I have no idea what; the forum and FAQ provided no insight either.
The parts of the app I can fathom make me want to use it, but the parts I can't prevent me. Which is a pity, really, because clearly a lot of work has gone into it, and I suspect it could be well worth a donation. But I've got to be honest and evaluate the package presented...
