Well... I'd *LIKE* to try this out, but clicking the 'new game' button on the main screen does nothing, so I can't.

I just cleared the game! The moral of the story is: nano-things are a bane to graphics cards. Even still, the final battle was mad intense! Anyway, it seemed like a so-so attempt at a 3D action RPG at first but, strangely, it hooked me in with its geeky humor. Things like the goofy dinosaurs, the witty quips by townsfolk, and "masochistic" frog really give this game a personality of its own. I also liked how equipping new armor, weapons, hair dye would actually change the appearance of the player. I personally think all the game needs is better game/event design. There were too many parts where you could get stuck and end up re-exploring the entire world to find the right key/item to the right door/obstacle. Nintendo is particularly good at this type of design (progressing the game linearly and logically), so you might try thinking about the newer Metroids or Zeldas for inspiration. Oh yeah, the game could use a little bit more content to make those repetitive areas in the dungeon a bit more interesting. I'd also like to note that this sort of reminded me of an attempt at a 3D nethack game called Egoboo. Keep up the great work.

Hi, this is the author- I apologize for the lack of mouse control- this was an oversight that proved to be more problematic than I imagined, and I haven't corrected it yet. Please visit www.udevgames.com and play and vote for games there.

Use http://www-personal.engin.umich.edu/~alexni/udg/nanocrisis-mac.tar.gz. Copy contents of dmg to your hard drive. You can't click with your mouse on new game, you have to use up/down arrow keys and spacebar. Worked for me.

It appears that the *control* key works where the space bar might be expected to instead. Whether this is a bug or intended feature, I'm not sure. Nifty, from what I've played thus far.
