  • cache resources in database for fast access
  • search through your cache and extract documents

Hello wefunk, allow me to reply. Only a small number of the features listed here are implemented by Firefox. Here are a few quick points. First, SurfFast runs on BOTH OS9 and OSX, while Firefox runs ONLY on OSX. Second, SurfFast has a built-in list of thousands of hosts and IP addresses that are well known for hosting advertising banners, popup windows and cookies for the sole purpose of tracking browsing activity. With Firefox, or by using one of its various extensions, you would have to enter your own list manually. Third, you can use SurfFast to filter objects such as applets, plugins and flash/shockwave movies. I don't know of a Firefox extension to do this, but, of course, you can disable these plugins. SurfFast does allow you to maintain a white list, for hosts which you do not want to be filtered. Fourth, SurfFast allows you to filter out browser tracking objects such as WebBugs, Referers and Prefix URL. I believe there might be an extension to block Referer tracking for Firefox, but I'm not entirely sure. Fifth, SurfFast allows you to block content based on either PICS or specific content keywords. You can use PICS to filter out content that is more explicit than the level or rating that you have enabled. Or, you can configure SurfFast to block pages that contain certain keywords. As far as I know, there are no extensions that allow this functionality for Firefox. Sixth, SurfFast contains a built-in high performance cache manager using a object database, which allows you to see, extract and delete objects from the cache. SurfFast implements a number of other features as well, such as disabling auto refresh on Web sites, or eliminating the background image, etc. We are a small startup that has worked hard to get SurfFast to market. And so, we ask you to atleast give it a try. If you like it, we'll be thrilled. Otherwise, let us know what is wrong, and we'll fix it. Thanks again! supports PICS, which allows you to block content that exceeds a certain level Here are a couple of quick advantages of SurfFast: it runs on BOTH OS9 and OSX, where
