AppExe is a launcher application that allows you to type the beginning of an application or folder/file path or a website URL and it will smart launch it.
What's new in AppExe
Version 2.0b:
Faster Startup
Elegant look and feel, with icon display for each matching application you type and you can also set windows Transparency mode.
If you can't find the application then just type the whole application name once and AppExe will cache the typed whole application name after successful launch.

It eats an absurd amount of screen space. And what's with the huge file size anyway?
I looked around inside the app package, the Help file is a 1.2MB RTF file (because of the uncompressed screenshots in it), rip that out an the app is only like 150K
Clean user interfaces and small download size = good software
Guess they didn't teach that in programming 101.
Seems like the footprint is rather larger than it needs to be. I haven't tried this app, but I do know that Spotlight does this, too. For example, "ip" will pull up all files with "ip" sure, but once you've then selected iPhoto, the next time that'll be at the top of the list.
I'm not averse to app retreads. gotta keep the leaders on their toes, so Yet Another Typing Launcher isn't an inherent evil to me. What is an inherent evil to me is a launcher that only launches apps, and eats up more screen space than dashboard widget. Try again.
