I'm going to continue using ourTunes. This program didn't get past the "please wait" stage for me. I couldn't download anything. If you want something that can do what this program does, and this doesn't work for you, check out ourTunes. You can search (selectively searching the hosts you want) and download, setting the download directory and filename according to variable fields.

Fantastic with iTunes 6.......broken with iTunes 7. An update is needed but it looks like the author is no longer developing this program (which is a shame because this is so much cleaner than the alternatives - not made with Java so it's fast, doesn't require an IM client to share, or a webbrowser, doesn't require a buddy list etc etc). My score is for the 1.50b1 version working with iTunes 6

Blue Coconut is perfect for "borrowing" music on a network. I hate that ITMS expects me to pay for the same songs my bro downloads... Blue Coconut lets me exercise my "older brother" rights under the international law of copyrightprotectionistoointensethesedays. I think it only works on d/ling songs that i actually have highlighted though, which is a bit of a drawback, because id like to highlight them, click them, and go back to sorting my own library.

Works great for me in iTunes 6 and 10.4.3. I have an old B&W G3 as a music server and this app allows me to copy my tracks to a local computer for syncing to my iPod. Is this app still being developed would love to be able to also copy my album art along with the tracks. Keep up the good work.

An impressive little app. The ability to choose "Copy selected shared tracks" from the iTunes script menu has made my day. This has nicely simplified my flatmate and I sharing our music. My only criticism is that the documentation doesn't explicitly state the name of the iTunes script folder (~/Library/iTunes/Scripts). If you've not used any scripts in iTunes before this is a little confusing, but it's hardly a major problem.

It works great... Select the song to play off the list and click the "GET" button on Blue Coconut and you have it. One little note: it copies the files twice in 2 different location in the Music folder not sure why.

When I click on the button to get a song I want to download added to the queue, I get an error that says "AppleScript Error" and "The variable sourceinfo is not defined (-2753)". Nothing downloads. It's added to the queue but just sits there.

Awesome program! The only thing I miss is some kind of search function, as I am connected to in between 20 and 30 libraries.... But Blue Coconut does the job for me!

Awesome! Always works where as others (getTunes) have failed with new releases of iTunes. Not flashy, but doesn't need to be as it does its job perfectly.

How about allowing library sources from somewhere other than the default itunes libary dir to be downloaded from. That would be cool. You can stream from it but the source is not found when attempting to download.

Superb! Just tried all the others (iLeech, iSlurp etc) but they no longer work. Its a shame you have to do each track one at a time, but beggars can't be choosers. I find that it retains the song name too, so all in all it does what it says on the tin. Thanks and keep up the good work

Much better than the alternatives, but I wish it wouldn't rename the tracks you download. There should be an option to not add the tracks to your itunes library aswell.

Works perfectly well EVEN with iTunes 4.7.1 Just the little app I was looking for. I've looked at the others, getTunes, OurTunes, etc. - this is the only one that did the trick. It's the one. Thanks.

Way slicker than getTunes. I wish it had a way to search through multiple libraries a la ourTunes, though. But way slicker than ourTunes. Works great.
