Subtle Status1.1

iTunes floating palette status.

Overview

Developer Comment: I am aware of a memory leak issue with the program and am working to resolve it.

Subtle Status is an unobtrusive info display, you can set the transparency and other options. It is intented for iTunes info, though you can write you own AppleScripts for it and several are included.

What's new in Subtle Status

It works perfect. It doesn't bother, there's no perfomance hit (Ibook G4 800), can be attached to any corner (I prefer the right top corner), can be change from black to white or white to black (background and text) with transparency (from 0% to 100%), and doesn't take desktop space (apps running below the Subtle Status can be clicked). My only problem is, I don't know how to start the script whenever I start Itunes (maybe using the Startup options on the Login Preference pane?). Good work.

Does anyone else have trouble with Subtle Status freezing, then eating up a lot of memory? (I'm using a 12" Powerbook, 867mhz, 640 mb RAM, OS 10.3.8 with iLife 05.

. So far I like it. One thing I would like to see are even more "subtle" transitions. By that I mean that sometimes the change in the text catches my eye. It would be nice if it was more of a gentle fade from text to text. Keep up the great work. =D

Wish it worked with dual monitors. :( Any chance, author? otherwise, it's great to have :)

A very elegant way of showing what is playing without getting in the way of the window. I prefer the upper right corner, high transparency, black on white.
