It's great!
As a user of RPN calculators for many years now (all of them HP), this was exactly the calculator I was looking for!
Now the only thing to top it would be a Dashboard version :)
Very Good!!!
My HP41C had his first MEMORY LOST today after 20 years!
But I found nsim (first on X11: I was a bit happy), now on Aqua: I am very happy.
I would like to have a simple way to edit the RAM (i.e. edit the RAM in ASCII, and then import the file).
A "super" card reader (mine is dead as well...)
fantastic
It can't keep up with typed numbers!
I tried typing in a two digit number for my very first test, and it didn't register the second. It didn't even buffer it and display it after a delay. Only when I waited a moment between each keystroke would it work.
Low ratings because what good is a calculator that can't even let you enter the numbers?
Hey, most of you guys just don't get it. This is not just a program that simulates the OPERATION of the calculator, it is a simulation of the PROCESSOR inside the calculator.
For some, that may induce all the respect you would direct at somebody who painstakingly builds an exact copy of a Model-T to drive in the July 4th parade.
It's a lot more than the bloated pieces of RB cr*p that clutter the new arrivals here every day. Maybe it doesn't work perfectly - there are dozens of calculator simulations out there for you to choose from. You should study the sources for this one - you might learn something.
Beautiful GUI. Brings back fond memories of an old faithful tool. Unfortunately it is not responsive to even moderately fast keystrokes. Hope Maciej will improve on this great start.
Star ratings not included due to its very slow response.
GUI looks great. but its still buggy: if you press random keys very fast, the calculator will display random functions forever: the only way to stop it is to quit. thanks anyway for the free stuff.
Perhaps it's just me, but upon launch, the first number I press on the (computer) keyboard doesn't register on the calculator. Second number and all others work fine after that.
Except for that it's a great calculator - one that I used to use daily as a land surveyor. Remembering window positioning would be nice, but for a first draft and free, I certainly don't mean to complain.
Thanks! Would gladly pay a reasonable price for a little more refined version with a more realistic image of the calculator, such as the also great HP simulators by RLM software.
Works great so far! Button and calculator graphics are nice, but calculator display leaves a bit to be desired. If you like RPN calculators, this is very good to have around.
How would you rate nsim app?
