pdf-Office Professional overview

pdf-Office Professional is the innovative software solution for the production and organization of professional forms for PDF.

An easy-to-use solution, pdf-Office Professional has all the form functions that Adobe's free Acrobat Reader can work with. Interactive forms can be created intuitively, filled out electronically by the user at the computer, and then printed -- with all the advantages that the PDF format can provide. Forms can be displayed and worked on the same way on any workstation without the user being able to tamper with the original. A high level of document security enabled by 256-bit AES encryption ensures maximum data protection where needed.

From simple text boxes to calculated fields to complex programming features in PDF forms, pdf-Office Professional provides everything necessary from the first steps to the creation of highly professional PDF forms. This is not least ensured by an intuitive form editor that allows simple graphic representation of the form fields and text from scratch, as with MS Word. Once created, documents can later be edited or added to in pdf-Office Professional at any time.

This software solution will also help to electronically fill out any preprinted paper forms easily and quickly or to save filled-out PDF forms.

Please note that PDF forms created with pdf-Office Professional are storable in Adobe Reader XI format.

From now on version 12.0 of the pdf-Office Professional is available. Thus, the further improved successor of version 11, which took first place in the overall ranking, in No. 12 of the c't 2014 test "fill assistants" (in connection with the fdf-Converter).

A word to the developer: If you want to sell an app to MAC users, DON'T put up a WINDOWS screenshot!

I attempted to use the demo software and found it totally unacceptable. As an example, I was unable to put radio buttons on the form, the field properties menu was inconsistent in coming up. The whole program is very Windows. I wrote the company about my radio button problem several weeks ago and have not received a response.

I like this software very much. Easy to use, all Form features included, very good price. OK, Mac look&feel should be improved a little bit but nevertheless it´s worth it´s money.

This is really a great tool for forms creation. In contrast to other software, also the price is very OK. I like this program very much.

This version cannot be upgraded without repaying the full price again. You have to by the "Professional" version in order to get free updates, and that version costs about $150. I'm not sure these prices are realistic. What do others think?

I'm glad to see the developer reduced the price but I wonder if it is far enough? The developer will know by increased or flat sales. I still say $29.95 would be the point when the app begins to sell, otherwise time will march on, I fear

I do confirm the issue I raised in my earlier review (manual poorly manageable in Apple's Preview) now works perfectly. More and more interesting. Hervé

Hervé, we checked your comment concerning pdf preview and found out, that in some environments these problems really appeared. We solved this already and preview should run without any problems now. Thank you very much for your information. UNIVERSE Software

I haven't tried this product and it does look promising from the write up BUT if this product is going to work well AND compete with Adobe then $120.00 is going to put a lot of people off. In my humble opinion, a better idea would be to have a 30 day working download and then a fee of something in the order of $30. This will try the age old maxim of "half the price, triple the sales". If you don't believe this, Mr Developer, try a 90 day introductory offer at $29.95 and see what happens. Good luck.

We also tried it with OS 10.3.3 and it´s running very well - with preview pane. But I totally agree to Hervé opinion: The first real alternative to Adobe !! Recommendation !

1) its own pdf manual's table of contents doesn't work in apple's pdf preview pane, which is not reallly conforting as concernsoutput quality... 2) in order to check it, I changed the defaults setting in the installer, to get pdf-office folder right on my desktop. This resulted in the installer messing up the user's right on my desktop folder -I had not anymore write access! 3) when one manages to change pages in the manual, pdf-office seems very interesting, maybe the first real alternative to Adobe products. I really intend to try it anyway :-/ But definitely, I feel there'll be not a single sale for the mac version until its outpu can be used correctly with Apple's preview.
