This Siro 2.1.1 is okay. Its the best I've been able to find yet. Over all I find the vibe cold and uncomfortable, I think mostly because I have to keep squintiing to read parts of it. But overall very good.
Siro has been updated to 2.0 for use with Tiger and Shapeshifter 2.1. The Spotlight menu item is nicely theme to match.
Go to the developers website to download until this entry has been updated.
And BTW, this is so far the only Theme I actually use on a day to day basis. Now I can finally use it with Tiger. Maybe when Nickel Cobalt is finally released, Siro will have some actual competition.
I love this theme. I am truly inspired!
Techy-Cool and majorly loving this mac again!
I wish I had enough time to try to create a theme of my own. This one sucks. Just kidding. I'm ok.. really.. no you're not
Daisuke Yamashita's theme work is always outstanding
( From the old style OS 9 schemes to his OSX themes)
and his SIRO theme is his crowning achievement.
This theme is almost perfect, so clean, functional and so
downright useable it's a crime Apple doesn't buy it
and ship it as an optional OS extra.
Do your eyes a favor and install this theme.
1.0.2 Has added a new Quicktime skin and some 'adjustments' to the finder titlebar widgets.
Gostcoder, I've just tested this out with this theme to make sure I'm not talking rubbish - the close/min/max buttons do indeed change as the mouse approaches them, i.e. when it enters the mapped area for the whole 'button' tiff file, not for the 'button' that is part of that tiff file.
All the shapeshifter themes do is replace the graphics files that are all the little bits and pieces (and big bits and pieces), so no, it won't affect the clickable area for each widget, just what that area looks like on the screen.
I'm not keen on bright themes myself (I like to minimise the glare onscreen, so I'm using flagship, which has lovely colours - the really dark themes make for too much contrast!), but this one is pretty...
Does this ACTUALLY make the widgets smaller? Or does it just make them LOOK smaller.
In other words, can you still click in the space the aqua widget took up before?
I don't have Shape Shifter, nor do I plan to instal it just to find out. But I'd think someone would have at least tried that idea.

Seems like all you do is belly ache these days...go work on chit-chat and do something constructive with your time, my friend. ;-)
