DOSBox Disk Operating System emulator.

Overview

Note: Radnor is no longer under development and the developer provides no support for it.

Radnor is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) frontend for the open-source DOSBox Disk Operating System emulator. The emulator is bundled with Radnor.

DOSBox is typically run from the command line with a variety of options. Radnor simplifies and facilitates launching DOSBox.

With Radnor, it is easy to run your favorite old DOS games again, transparently, from Mac OS X. Radnor requires the SDL runtime libraries, available here.

I tried running dOSboX by itself, and couldn't get my old DOS favorite games to run with it. I tried this on top of it, and everything runs like a champ. Great job!

Fascinating. I've been using Radnor to manage DosBox for years now to let me run some of my favorite old DOS games...but of course that was on PPC. I recently tried it out on my new Leopard MacBook Pro, and even though Radnor isn't written in Universal IT STILL WORKS FINE, and I can continue to play my old DOS games. Good thing, because I can't get the developer's website to resolve either from MacUpdate or Google.

More trouble than it's worth - don't waste your time. I installed SDL and created the (sometimes) necessary symlinks yet nothing will launch through Radnor. My DOS games work fine when executed from the vanilla command line version of DOSBox, and E-UAE works which suggests that my installation of SDL is functional.

Almost NEVER works me to run a dos program. I've only had two (2) programms that Radnor would run out of many that I tried. Although I must say it is easier to use than DOSBox.

This is great. I messed around with Bochs and OpenDOS for ages trying and trying to get something to work. Saw this, downloaded, and it worked. EASY! This emulator is great. Struggles with making the sounds on Jetpack, but you can get it decent by setting the frameskip to 2 or 3. If you want to use DOS on your Mac, download this. Don't mess around with Bochs unless you're much smarter and more patient than me.
