Does for movies what iTunes does for music.

Developer website: i-Flix.com

[ Via Apple.com ] Does for movies what iTunes does for music. Instantly display, organize, sort, and browse thousands of flix by title, genre, artist, and more. Add flix from the Internet Movie Database, or drag and drop movie files, folders, DVDs, or CDs. Track thousands of flix available on the Internet and launch your BitTorrent client to download your favorites.

If you choose the official BitTorrent client, iFlix can use your operating system to launch your BitTorrent client. We prefer Azureus as it is much more system-friendly, but iFlix can't yet initiate a download automatically using Azureus.

What's New

Version 1.45:
  • Added Synchronize Filenames with Displayed Names feature (Advanced Menu) - this feature can rename any flick file to the name you have assigned to it - use with caution as there is not an undo feature! - Thanks to B. Whitson for this suggestion, and we have already used it ourselves! The flix must, of course, be accessible (online) and not on CDs/DVDs. This is very handy for anything you have downloaded using BitTorrent so you can give your filenames meaningful / consistent names.

Use iFlix's Find/Replace, Prepend, and Append to change multiple item names, then when you have them all as you'd like, use the Synchronize feature and you'll then be even more organized.

  • Added a preference Always Ask For Torrent Download Folder - if true, iFlix will always ask where to download torrents - handy if you have multiple computers downloading using Azureus setup with Auto-Downloading
