Amazing! Did the job as advertised. 400+ songs took about 10-15 min. You can select which songs to import, but once the process gets underway, it keeps iTunes as front application (that's why only 3 stars for Features).

The iPod got really hot; 30 min. to cool down.

iPod Freedom works great but it doesn't seem to import all my iPod music though I do understand it is still a BETA.

NOTE: It is important that you have this option checked in iTunes when using this program. Under the advanced tab make sure you have 'Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" checked. Otherwide, when the songs are added to your library, itunes will just make a reference to your iPod file, not what you want.

This is from the author. It sounds like when they copied the files to their itunes folder, they did nto hae their preferences set to "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" under the Advanced tab. iPod freedom does not do anyhing fancy. It just finds the invisible song files and puts them into iTunes via AppleScript.
