does only one thing, it converts a simple [object release]; into NSLog(@"object retainCount: %i",[object retainCount]); [object release]; This is sometimes useful if the developer wants to know the current count of an object before it is released. Makes it easier to detect memory leaks. Note: This .app is just created, don't expect it to be perfect. There is no error handling so just insert releases and nothing else.
