that's a nice app! very interesting for a few minutes... but why should you pay for it? you can't do anything special than looking at our planet...

For some nice satellite images see Proba at www.esa.int/export/esaMI/Proba_web_site/. Another web resource is www.spaceimaging.com.

It's a director runtime app, not particularly fast, but that's not really a problem. The Demo allows you to look up 15 countries, which is a joke. Afterwards, you have to register it for $6.95 or quit. Another thing is it tries to connect homepage.mac.com on startup. Looking for updates or doing anything else -- who knows? The satellite pics are nice, but you can get those anywhere else, as mentioned before. Not *really* worth it.

I do not see where the author is going with such software. Map resolution and information is poor and detailled data can be found anyway on CIA or any other encyclopedia online for free as the software is doing. Maps looks nice but with very little details that can be useful for a traveller. this needs much more work to be a download-hit ! Also, it uses 100% of the CPU, even when it does nothing so this is killing my laptop batteries at light speed or makes the fans very buzy... So, I can only encourage the author to multiply by 100 the efforts to do something really cool, efficient and informative and worth any money. Hold on !
