A good start but needs improvement. No preivew, dual help menus (one of which comes up empty) and no explanation of the overall concept involved so you really have no idea how the individual entries and changes will effect the output until you publish.

I've been hearing rumors that all or part of the components used in blogwave are in some part connected to the new iweb program (part of the new iLife 06 suite). Of course these rumors are unconfirmed.

What's with this guy. I've never had so much trouble with a pay program. Now it would seem that the developer is completely AWOL. I'd scream for my money back if I knew where to scream to!?!

Well has great potential, but consistently crashes within Tiger. Also there does not seem to be a way to buy this application! I would like to understand what direction the developers want to take this application, but alas his site has been done for at least a couple of months. My guess is this application has gone to the grave. Which is a real pity!

What's up with this developer? His site has been "closed" since the end of May. It has a statement on the site that states he is out until June 14. However, it's still in this form; there seems to be no way to see or contact this developer or more importantly, purchase this product. Give pause as to purchasing this product. As stated below, it is not ready for Tiger and now the developer is AWOL. Also, I wish the demo was more complete. The features it blocks as well as the publised pages is provides prohibits a full experience into whether this is a solid blog solution. It's hard to understand whether customization or navigation is adequate.

Crashes consistantly in 10.4. This happens when: 1. Adding photos to entries. 2. Adding paragraphs to entries. 3. Saving entries. 4. Publishing to iDisk. 5. And other numerous times for no real apparent reason. To Developer: Please fix these problems. I've been a paid user of your program for a while now, but since installing Tiger on my computer I am unable to use it for even the slightest task. To Others: Those of you thinking about getting this program should probably think twice if they have Tiger installed; at least until the developer updates his program. It's a shame because when it works it's well worth the price. Now I'm forced once more to do most of the work manually.

I agree. Great program, but still seems a little buggy in 10.4. Specifically, the .app seems to crash consistently when publishing to my iDisk. Also the picture editor really wierds out some of the pictures from time to time. Either way it's a great program, but the problems noted above do get really frustrating.

It doesn't seem to work in 10.4, but it's a great app. Please include a way to use the existing picture comments from iPhoto directly in BWS as I now have to enter comments for the albums again, before publishing. Other than that, great app, easy to use.

I like the potential of this app, but I'm hesitant for a few reasons: The photo feature requires you to select pictures from iphoto individually. It would be much more efficient to import albums that have already been organized in iphoto. Earlier versions said specifically that registration will allow the apps use on only one machine, if this is still the case I consider it a major drawback. Please continue to develop.

Please, please allow users to create custom templates. I want to buy this application, but until I am able to write my own strict standards-compliant XHTML 1.0/CSS 2.0 coded templates, then it will be of no use to me. I've read many other posts asking for this feature. This feature is absolutely necessary for all but the most novice users.

Please download BlogWave Studio for .Mac again. This version is hot-fixed 1.1.6. This only fixes the problem that deleted entries (such as NULL) appear on your blog. We apologize for the inconvenience.

BlogWave Studio has not related with WebObjects. It's only a cocoa application for the macintosh users. hmm....anonymous is always problem!

I think you missed my point. It will NEVER work with just any old FTP. If you understood anything about WebObjects, the server engine that runs .Mac, you'd understand that it will only work on .Mac, unless someone spends a ton of money duplicating .Mac. Wishing otherwise is simply futile, cause it won't work on anything but WebObjects integrated OS X Server systems designed to support it. Making it where it would work on something else would require totally redesigning it from the ground up. Got that? Blahblahblah yourself.

I don't care about expandability, server-side, blablabla. It occurs to me that this software works and does exactly what I want to. WYSIWYG, drag-and-drop, user-friendly. Bravo! Now, if only it worked with any FTP server...

The fact that it works only on .Mac accounts and requires 10.3 tells me that the application was designed with WebObjects 5.2.2/XCode as a dev base for the framework functionality ingrained into the Java2 (1.4.2) coding. This means that it will never be available for use outside of .Mac accounts, unless someone comes along and designs another WebObjects server system that uses the same deployment frameworks as .Mac. And I assure you, that wouldn't be cheap to implement, six figures just to get it online, at best. So it's futile to be wishing that it did work on other servers.

This reall ROCKS! I have been looking for an easier way to keep my size up-to-date and this is by far the best, most comprehensive and best integrated tool I have found. Congratulations to Little HJ - this should be bundled with every new Mac. It is the iApp that's been missing. How it integrates with the other iApps is fantastic. The way you can just add a photo, or a tune or an image, the ease with which you can add another paragraph. Wonderful. The real geeks will complain that it doesn't allow you to do their own HTML coding - I think that's cool because I don't have nor the time or the inlcination to do so. The geeks will complain that it isn't real time. Oh, so what. For normal people like me, this will do very well. And it is way better than iBlog... It's a totally different league. Given that it is version 1.1.2 there is a lot of potential for improvement (like FTP so you do not need a .Mac account. Stability could also be improved, an easy way to change the look a little more (like some sort of descriptor above the menu) would be helpful, a calendar rather than a clock etc. BUT overall this is an incredible value. Of note: The developer does himself a real disfaour by having such a limited trial functionality. Mine didn't work at all, but I kinda felt lucky so I forked over $20. Best $20 spent on software in the last 12 months..

For just 20$ you got a perfect blog tool to use with .Mac account. It has everything from templates with CSS to photo/movies albums. Everything is a click away, user can add prics for iPhoto or Safari or Finder, add music from iTunes and videos from iMovie. It's easy, it's cheap and it's cool! It's perfectly integrated with haloscan to let users add comments without adding a line of code. It's the perfect tool if you have .Mac account.

Waaaaayyy too many limitations. The demo is worthless because you can't save, preview or publish your blog - so how are you supposed to see what it can do??? It's tied to hardware, so you can only run it on one machine... well, I have a laptop and a desktop and I don't want to be limited to one machine to blog. Plus, what happens when I want to upgrade my machine? Adding paragraphs is a bit of a pain, and multiple help tabs is kind of redundant. The themes are almost all the same. The real killer is that you're stuck using it with .Mac - which turns away about 90% of their potential audience right off the bat. On the bright side, it's a great looking app, and show a LOT of potential. I'll be keeping my eye on this app, but until I can try ALL of it's features, they aren't getting my $$$$.

I think it is a great program, although of course some functionality is lacking, it is still version 1.0. I already sent some remarks to the developers and they reply very fast. I started with iBlog, at that time I thought it was very good program, but development with new functionality is slow and support not so good. I am also using Polywogg, and although a completely different program it is also perfect for blogging and works great because you have also sort of community and people present tend to answer very possitive and also support is excellent. But now especially with BlogStudio some great new functionality is available, like: - themes - categories - iLife 2004 integration - total .Mac integration - Top Stories per category - aibility to add several paragraphs to one entry - etc. So in general it is the new .Mac Blogging app for OS X I think, for me at least.

Looks like the program has great potential. Like bubba said, it really needs a way to preview the entire site prior to publishing. Another suggestion would be the ability to add some static text on the home page to allow to give a brief intro/description to the blog. Similar to the concept of the poster. Looking forward to the multi-license option since I run multiple computers. Keep up the good work.
