What is Reconnector X for Mac

Reconnector X is a remote file system mounter that connects automatically to the correct file server and mounts the chosen volumes at startup. It also reconnects to mounted systems that randomly disconnect and disappear.

What's new in Reconnector X

Version 2.9.1:
  • Reconnector will now delete any file, folder or alias in /Volumes/ which have the same name as the volume tht is being mounted. This is done to avoid a problem that can occure where the mounted volumes Posix-name might be wrong.

I can't seem to get Reconnector 2.1 (on Mac OS 9.2.2) to automount my Xserve 10.2.6. I get a crash with "Error Type 2" consistently. Anyone able to make this work?

nice and clean app, a bit expensive but still worth the dough. A must have though I think it lacks a bar graph covering fre mem on mounted volumes.

Great product! Love the amount/remount network volumes. Also the feature of keeping applications up and running is invaluable to workflows. Also nice since it allows me to use different profiles like "home", "work" etc, allowing me to use different sets of automounted volumes. Great Product!

The same can be done for free using applecript and the "mount volume" command.
