First I would like to note that it is not the largest... "College and University Icons" has over 300

I had a hard time liking these icons. My main problem was that icons should be a photo or computer done. They aren't an actual photo, and with being computer done, they are not done artistically, only the same bland design repeated.

My other problem was that yes there is a lot of them, but many seem to repeat. for example 4 different Xserve's look almost identical, as well as multiple computers.

props to spending time on this project, I know myself how long it can take, but I felt as if I was surfing though the same icons repeatedly.

Wonderful icon designs! Every model of Apple and Macintosh computer is represented here, in pixel perfect detail. Even peripherals (including esoteric ones, such as an Apple IIGS Bose Speaker icon!) are here for the taking. Fantastic attention to detail and well worth the download. Kudos to the icon artist!

20 years ago, the very first Mac personal computer was unveiled by Apple in Cupertino, CA. In order to help celebrate this momentous anniversary, widget : widget is extremely proud to announce the immediate availability of 'Magnum Opus', the largest compendium of Apple hardware icons ever made. This icon set has been in preparation for over 18 months. It contains no less than 270 individual icons, 4,769,280 individual pixels, in addition to a great deal of time, patience, and love. Every single Apple computer ever made is covered. If you're looking for a Newton icon, there's bound to be one here. If you've got a new eMac and need something cool to identify it by, then there's an eMac icon too. Even if you feel a bit nostalgic and fancy remembering the Lisa, Mac TV, or even the good ol' Mac 128k, they're all here as well. In addition to computers, the set also contains over 100 'accessory' icons, ranging from various ADB mouse to the brand new iPod mini.

Apple hasn't always had an easy ride. The mid-nineties nearly killed the company, and not a month goes by without a smug, pessimistic analyst foretelling the company's death. Yet one thing has remained synonymous with Apple over it's tenure: the Mac. This is the product that has shaped Apple the most. Not the Apple I, or even the Lisa have had such a profound over Apple, let alone the world of computing. Whilst it may seem as though the Mac was launched only yesterday, twenty years is a long time. It's uncertain as to whether the Mac of tomorrow will be very similair to what we use now. But one thing is certain: it will probably be better.

Please join us in toasting the Mac to another glorious twenty years, and hopefully, many more after that..
