This software used to work perfectly. Then, i updated my OS to 10.3.3
now....it crashes when it tries to encode any m2v files to qt....
bummer....hope this gets fixed soon.
I like this tool a great deal, but have not had a lot of luck with the quality of VRO conversions. I recently discovered MPEG Streamclip for OS X, which is a freeware application, that handles this particular conversion very well and would strongly suggest that people who need VRO support take a look at it as an other alternative that might meet their needs.
I can't get the demo to work on a TiVo file (.ty) or the resulting .mpg created with tyc. If I try it with the .ty file I get this error:
/Volumes/Lrrr/Bernies\ Stuff/track.m2v ;mv /Volumes/Lrrr/Bernies Stuff//*.mp2 is not a valid mpeg file (1)`
If I try with the .mpg file (either with MPEG2>QT or TiVo>QT, I get this error:
sh: -c: line 1: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `''
sh: -c: line 2: syntax error: unexpected end of file (2)
The file I'm using is a basic quality file from a Series 1 TiVo.
Works. A muched need route from VOB to any QT format. Only criticism would be the non modular progress bar which is stuck in the centre of the screen. Would prefer an integrated (movable) progress bar with a countdown.
Other than that I am about to upgrade from the demo having tested it on my G5.
Brilliant.
