This software used to work perfectly. Then, i updated my OS to 10.3.3 now....it crashes when it tries to encode any m2v files to qt.... bummer....hope this gets fixed soon.

agree, there should be a progressbar - I have no idea if this actually goes anywhere...

actually - there is a way to see a kind of progress - the output file gets bigger and longer :-)

Please note that there is exporting progress bar as soon as exporting process starts...Durin checkin and preparing MPEG file there is no progress bar, but as you said, you can verify that all is fine by watchin the files in destination folder, and that process does not take long anyway...

I like this tool a great deal, but have not had a lot of luck with the quality of VRO conversions. I recently discovered MPEG Streamclip for OS X, which is a freeware application, that handles this particular conversion very well and would strongly suggest that people who need VRO support take a look at it as an other alternative that might meet their needs.

I can't get the demo to work on a TiVo file (.ty) or the resulting .mpg created with tyc. If I try it with the .ty file I get this error: /Volumes/Lrrr/Bernies\ Stuff/track.m2v ;mv /Volumes/Lrrr/Bernies Stuff//*.mp2 is not a valid mpeg file (1)` If I try with the .mpg file (either with MPEG2>QT or TiVo>QT, I get this error: sh: -c: line 1: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `'' sh: -c: line 2: syntax error: unexpected end of file (2) The file I'm using is a basic quality file from a Series 1 TiVo.

Regarding .ty files...Export2QT cannot accept .ty files yet...Im working on that problem and as soon as I come up with a solution Ill post update...So You have to output .mpg from Your capturing app, not the .ty file... Regarding sh: line errors...Make sure You dont have the unusual characters in file or folder(s) names like > < , : - ; ( )...Also, if Your TiVo file has AC3 audio, then You have to use button for that...Ill post the update soon with the solution to that problem... Also please use the Export2QT section on MPEG2 Works forum to post any question/problem You might have with my app, or write a mail directly to me on SERBIAN@macmail.com..Ill be more thatn happy to assist You to solve any possible glitches You might have with my app, as I always do... Works. A muched need route from VOB to any QT format. Only criticism would be the non modular progress bar which is stuck in the centre of the screen. Would prefer an integrated (movable) progress bar with a countdown. Other than that I am about to upgrade from the demo having tested it on my G5. Brilliant.
